*Auditions for youth 9 – 14 years-old:

Due to the limited availability of audition slots, we ask that all children 9 – 14 years-old submit a video audition. Video auditions must be submitted by Friday, September 25, 2026. Please upload your audition video directly through the Youth Audition Form. Children selected for an in-person audition will be notified by [DATE].

Here’s What To Expect On Your Audition Day:

  • Auditions will be a mix of singing and choreography.
  • Auditions will take place within a 1 hour time slot and include:
    • Individual Singing
    • Choreography
    • All auditionees are required for the full hour
  • Singing will be performed individually, while the choreography will be performed in a group setting.
  • Performers will be asked to prepare the following:
    • One verse and chorus of a song of your choice in the style of Frozen.
    • Please wear something you can move in.
  • Performers are encouraged to have fun, make strong character choices. We can’t wait to see what you do!

Not available for auditions but still want to submit? VOS provides any performer the opportunity to submit a video audition.

  • Performers will be asked to prepare and record the following:
    • A quick introduction (Name, roles interested, and what you will be singing)
    • One verse and chorus of a song of your choice in the style of Frozen.
    • The choreography
  • Performers are encouraged to have fun, make strong character choices. We can’t wait to see what you do!

 

  • Saturday, October 17: Callbacks | 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM | VOS Hall
  • Rehearsals will start on [DATE] and are held Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. Not all cast members will be required at every rehearsal, but everyone should plan to be available. Rehearsal schedules will be provided in advance; however, they may be adjusted at the director’s discretion.
  • Performance Dates: April 30 – May 9, 2027

  • All cast members must hold a valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (also known as a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector – PIC-VS), which includes an RCMP criminal record and vulnerable sector check. If you do not have a current one, VOS will assist you in obtaining it.
  • All members of Actors Equity who plan to audition for this production must receive a permission to work without reference to an Equity contract prior to auditions.
  • All cast are non-paid volunteer positions.
