Victoria On Stage Musical Theatre Society (VOS) is a non-profit organization, established in 1945, that aims to bring the thrill and beauty of live musical theatre to the residents of Greater Victoria. For over seven decades, VOS has been successful in delivering quality Broadway Musicals, Light Operas, and Gilbert and Sullivan productions, thereby providing a platform for local talent to shine.
As part of our mission, VOS is committed to nurturing budding artists in the field of musical theatre. We achieve this by offering a variety of workshops and providing practical experience through annual productions and events. As part of our Education & Training program, VOS also offers youth summer camps and after-school classes. This initiative is designed to foster a love and appreciation for musical theatre among the younger generation.
The vision, core values, and objectives of VOS are the pillars that shape our policies. These areas were determined through valuable input from the Board of Directors, partnering community organizations in the Arts, and through consultations with audience members and society members. A key objective of VOS is to deliver high-quality, professional theatrical productions while endeavouring to maintain a reasonable price range.
Victoria On Stage Musical Theatre Society, a federally incorporated not-for-profit corporation, provides programs for the public’s benefit. As a registered charity (#119285039RR0001), we are authorized to issue tax receipts for donations, making it even easier for supporters to contribute to our future and sustainability.
