The actor submissions for VOS’ spring production of Legally Blonde are now open.
We encourage performer of all ethnicities, gender identities, and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to submit. To best demonstrate our commitment to inclusion in our community, VOS encourages ALL actors to audition for ANY role which they feel they can fully embody authentically.

Saturday, November 9th (12:00 pm – 5:00 pm) – Studio A
Sunday, November 10th (5:00 pm – 9:00 pm) – Studio D
Wednesday, November 13th (6:00 – 10:00 pm) – Studio A (FULL)
What To Expect:
- Auditions will be a mix of singing snippets from the show and learning/performing choreography. All materials are found below.
- Each audition slot will be 1 hour long.
- Singing will be performed individually to the instrumental track(s) provided, while the choreography will be learned/performed in a group setting.
- Performers will be asked to prepare the following:
- Two of the songs listed below. You will sing both of them at your audition using the instrumental tracks provided. If you are interested in a specific role, please select at least one of their associated songs. (Performers auditioning for Elle Woods must choose Bars 101-123 of So Much Better as one of their selections)
- A dance call to “Legally Blonde Remix”. We have provided a choreography video below for folks who’d like extra time learning choreography. Please wear runners/dance shoes and something you can move in. No heels needed.
- Performers are encouraged to have fun, make strong character choices and make it your own. We can’t wait to see what you do!
- Not available for auditions but still want to submit? VOS provides any performer the opportunity to submit a video audition. The video and email must include:
- Introduction: First & Last name, pronouns, and role(s) interested.
- A vocal performance of two of the song selections listed below
- A dance performance of the provided choreography to “Legally Blonde Remix”.
- Attach a recent headshot/selfie and acting resume.
- Please confirm your availability for rehearsals (January – April) Tuesday & Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.
- All scheduled conflicts must be disclosed in the email at the time of auditions.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
Elle Woods – Vocal Range: F#3 – F5.
The quintessential Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law School and realizes that she has more to offer than just a pretty face and a bubbly personality.
Emmet Forrest – Vocal Range: A2 – A4.
A smart and sensitive law student who takes Elle under his wing. He is charming, quirky, loveable, and friendly.
Paulette Buonufonté Vocal Range: G3 – A5.
A brash, caring, optimistic hair stylist who is friends with Elle and longs to find a man for herself.
Warner Huntington III Vocal Range: A2 – G#4.
A good-looking but shallow and pompous guy who breaks Elle’s heart and heads off to Harvard Law.
Professor Callahan Vocal Range: A2 – F#4.
A pompous, sleezy and manipulative law professor at Harvard who is highly successful, but completely immoral.
Brooke Wyndham Vocal Range: A3 – G5.
An exercise video mogul who is also a former sorority girl. She is energetic and charismatic, yet currently on trial for murder.
Vivienne Kensington Vocal Range: A3 – Ab5.
A smart, savvy, and uptight law student and Warner’s fiancee who initially dismisses Elle, but grows to be her friend.
