![]() | President: Doug Crockett (he/him) president@victoriaonstage.ca | Doug has been a part of VOS since relocating to Victoria in 2011. Originally from the Okanagan, he grew up in Southern California, where he worked as a Senior Publicist for Paramount Pictures in Hollywood. After retiring, he returned to acting, landing notable roles in productions such as Damn Yankees, Pirates of Penzance, Romeo & Juliet, and Sweeney Todd. Local audiences may remember him from VOS productions like Annie, where he played Daddy Warbucks, and The Sound of Music, where he took on the role of Uncle Max. Locally, he has also portrayed Matthew Cuthbert in Anne of Green Gables, Scrooge in A Christmas Carol, Caldwell B. Cladwell in Urinetown, and Larry in Company. In addition to acting, Doug has directed productions of The Little Mermaid, Nunsense, and Rent. |
![]() | Vice President: Francesca Bitonti (she/her) vicepresident@victoriaonstage.ca | Fran became part of the VOS family in 1998 during her first production, Legends of Broadway. She is passionate about performing but felt a strong desire to contribute to the Society in other ways. She was elected to the Board in 2004 and is still here. She continues to balance her passion of performing with that of promoting the growth and sustainability of this wonderful arts organization! |
![]() | Treasurer: Barbara Clerihue (she/her) treasurer@victoriaonstage.ca | Barbara is an accomplished set designer who has contributed to numerous VOS productions, including RENT, 9 to 5, Mamma Mia!, The Rocky Horror Show, and The Wizard of Oz, as well as to many other theatre companies in Victoria. As a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA) with a unique blend of professional experiences, she bridges the worlds of finance, leadership, and academia. Barbara served a career in the Royal Canadian Navy and is currently a PhD Candidate in Theatre Studies at the University of Victoria. Certified in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI), she actively works to create inclusive spaces in all her endeavours. Her specialized consulting practice provides expert military career loss assessments for motor vehicle injury claims, supporting fair and informed resolutions. Barbara is the recipient of numerous awards including appointment as an Officer in the Order of Military Merit, and The Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee medals. |
![]() | Secretary: Rae Paxton (she/her) secretary@victoriaonstage.ca | Rae has always had a passion for the performing arts! Although she graduated from the Canadian College of Performing Arts in 2017, she has been an active member of the Victoria theatre community for many years. Mainly as a performing artist, she has been a member of VOS since her first show in 2013, though in recent years, she has started working behind the scenes as a Producer and board member. Rae is thrilled to take on this new role on the board and be a part of this ever-growing community! |
![]() | Past President: Sue Pyke (she/her) pastpresident@victoriaonstage.ca | Sue has been involved with VOS for several years. Her first production was Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and was active on the Board of Directors until she took a break to raise her children and participate in activities they enjoyed. Sue works full-time at DND and brings her skills in administration and business planning to the board, as well as her belief that the arts are a critical part of our community. |
![]() | Member-at-Large: Kelsey Bushey (she/her) Future Shows Chair Social Events Chair futureshows@victoriaonstage.ca | Kelsey is a performing artist who graduated with her diploma from the Canadian College of performing arts. Dancing since the age of 5, Kelsey has been fortunate enough to study ballet, tap, jazz, modern, musical theatre, lyrical, and contemporary styles. Kelsey is passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of performer, and knows that everyone is capable of being an incredible artist given a positive, inviting foundation. In addition to performing, Kelsey completed her Education Assistant certificate through SD62 – focusing on providing tools and resources for children with learning disabilities. She continues to support families in our local community as a behaviour interventionist. Kelsey’s passion for musical theatre continues to grow and is proud to be a member of Victoria On Stage. Recent credits include: Beauty and the Beast, Wizard of Oz, The Rocky Horror Picture show, Mary Poppins and recently the Sweeney Todd mentorship program |
![]() | Member-at-Large: Kathryn Humphries (she/her) Operational Planning Chair planning@victoriaonstage.ca | Kathryn’s first VOS show was Beauty and the Beast in 2022, however, her family’s history with VOS goes back to the 1970s. Kathryn has performed on the amateur and professional stage around Canada and in Europe, earning three vocal performance degrees along the way. Kathryn has performed with local groups such as Pacific Opera Victoria, the VCM Opera Studio, the Victoria Philharmonic Choir, the Victoria Choral Society, Langham Court Theatre, and the Victoria Gilbert and Sullivan Society. By day, Kathryn practises law, which has a drama of its own. Kathryn has previously served on the board of non-profit arts organizations, and is thrilled to serve the longevity and health of VOS as a Board member. |
![]() | Member-at-Large: Caitlin Dowe (she/her) Fundraising Chair fundraising@victoriaonstage.ca | Caitlin is an accomplished stage and production manager, graduating with a BFA from York University’s Theatre Production program in 2014. Whilst Caitlin is a recent addition to the VOS family (stage manager for The Wizard of Oz, 2023), she has been heavily involved in Victoria theatre scene since she moved here in 2010. Caitlin spends most of her free time with her two girls and their dogs, either at the hockey rink with her youngest or riding horses at the barn with her oldest. |
![]() | Member-at-Large: Brodie Nicholls (he/him) Marketing Chair marketing@victoriaonstage.ca | Brodie has been a VOS member since 2010, debuting in The Wizard of Oz and contributing to many productions since. Recent credits include Bert in Mary Poppins and the Tinman in The Wizard of Oz (performing for a second time). His involvement with VOS inspired him to pursue further training, graduating from George Brown Theatre School’s Classical Conservatory in Toronto. Now a Program Analyst with the BC Government, Brodie focuses on reducing carbon emissions and advancing climate action. Equally passionate about fostering growth in Victoria’s theatre community, he is honored to join the board and looks forward to supporting the continued growth of VOS |
