Mary Poppins Sensory-Friendly Performance will take place on May 11th, 2024 at 2:00pm at the McPherson Playhouse.

MARY POPPINS : SENSORY-FRIENDLY PERFORMANCE

Victoria On Stage Musical Theatre Society (VOS) is beyond thrilled to be offering our next ‘Sensory-Friendly’ performance at the McPherson Playhouse. Sensory-friendly performances are designed to create a welcoming and comfortable arts experience for people with autism, sensory sensitivities, or other social, learning or cognitive disabilities. Our goal is to create a safe environment where theatre is made available for those who may not have been able to experience theatre, in a way that works for them.

At VOS, we understand that the most common theatre environment might not be the only barrier folks experience while trying to enjoy theatre. That is why we are offering tickets at a discounted rate for this performance. Tickets will be $20 (instead of $66.00) with an option for an additional free ticket for a family member of caregiver. To purchase tickets please use the link below.

Below you will find resources to help our potential audience members better prepare for the sensory-friendly performance. Including a visual walk-through of the theatre, maps for parking, communication boards and cast introductions. Please feel free to look through the following resources and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Dan via email (gm@victoriaonstage.ca)
